1. Who we are
DocBridge Resolution Services is a dispute-documentation and settlement-preparation service operated by DOCBRIDGE RESOLUTION SERVICES LIMITED, an Ontario corporation (Ontario Corporation No. 1001679348), with its registered office at 21 King Street West, 5th Floor, Hamilton, Ontario L8P 4W7, Canada.
2. What our services are
We prepare and organise dispute documentation. Our services include preparing dispute files, developing fact timelines and chronologies, compiling communication logs, structuring damages and expense records, and producing issue matrices and neutral case-summary reports. This work is administrative and organisational in nature. We assemble, structure and summarise the material you provide so that it is clear and ready for mediation, negotiation or settlement.
3. What our services are not
Our services do not include, and must not be relied upon as, legal advice, legal opinions, or representation. We do not advise on the merits of a dispute, interpret the law for your situation, recommend a legal course of action, or advocate for you at any meeting or proceeding. Using this website or our services does not create a professional advisory or client relationship of the kind you would have with a licensed professional. You are responsible for obtaining your own advice from a licensed professional where you need it.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and lawfulness of the documents and information you provide to us. Our work reflects the material you supply; we organise and summarise it, but we do not independently verify its truth or investigate matters beyond it. You should review any file we prepare and satisfy yourself that it is accurate and complete before relying on it or sharing it.
5. Confidentiality
We treat the documents and details you provide in connection with a dispute as confidential. Access is limited to those working on your file, and your material is used only to prepare the documentation you have engaged us to produce. We do not disclose your confidential information to third parties except where you direct us to (for example, to send your prepared file to a mediator or professional you have chosen), where necessary to provide a service you have requested, or where required by law. 6. Engagement and fees
Where we agree to prepare work for you, we will set out the scope and the fee before we begin — typically as a fixed-fee package, a subscription, or an arrangement with a referral partner. The specific terms of each engagement are agreed in writing and supplement these terms.
7. Your documents and our materials
You retain ownership of the documents and information you provide. The organised file we prepare for you is provided for your use in connection with your dispute. The design, templates, structure and methods we use to prepare files remain our property and may not be copied or resold.
8. No guarantee of outcome
Preparation and organisation of a dispute file can help you present your matter clearly, but we do not guarantee any particular result in a mediation, negotiation, settlement or proceeding. Outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DocBridge is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or our services, or from any decision you make in your dispute. Our services are provided on the basis of the disclaimer set out above.
10. Third parties
Where your file is shared with or handed to a mediator, licensed professional or other third party, that party acts independently of DocBridge. We are not responsible for the advice, conduct or decisions of any third party you choose to involve.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable there, and any matter relating to them is subject to the courts of Ontario.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page, with the date shown above, is the current version.
